  • If it is an actual marketing project and he needed women's advice, then I don't see how it would be inappropriate. I would probably say he should have them as an attachment and explain in the email what it is and what kind of feedback he is looking for, and also mention that it may be a bit risque', and to disregard if they don't want to look at such pictures or be involved in his research. I think, though, generally you know who will be offended and who won't, and you should avoid the ones who will!
  • This depends on the type of company, the position of the female employees who were recipients, the position of the sender, and the policies and procedures of the company. In an advertizing and marketing company where the target audience of the ad campaign are females, female employees would be a good place to get feedback. It depends on how it was handled, really. This one can go either way.
  • I think it would have been better served in a conference room with survey forms, but that is just me. My opinion on underwear would mess up the results because I go for the most comfortable, cheapest skivvies I can get.
  • As has already been said, there are circumstances in which it might well have been appropriate. However, I think he would have done well to ask their permission first. If he had done so, and received their consent, there would have been nothing to complain about. And sending an bulk email, then attaching the pictures to consenting replies, would hardly have involved much extra work in return for the peace of mind of all concerned.
  • What is unapropriate? Ladies in their underwear or sending those pictures ONLY to the ladies??? ;)
  • I think it is inappropriate. He should have set this up with his boss and all the women before he sent it. Otherwise it just looks sleazy.
  • yeah sure - its women that are going to be wearing it so they would make the best judges :D
