  • I'd ask him if there was something specific he was looking for and offer to get it for him then as he thought I was busy getting him whatever he was searching for I'd probably spin around grab him by the scruff of his neck throw his sorry butt out the door and tell him he is no longer welcome in my home unless I am present. I hope this didn't happen to you because if it did my question would be where was hubby and if he was there why would he allow his dad to go through your personal things.
  • I hope this question isn't based on personal experience.. Personally, I'm not quite sure what I'd do, as I don't have a father in law, but I know I wouldn't attack him right away, probably ask him what exactly he was doing at some later point when he wouldn't be expecting it.
  • I'd get a restraining order. They are simple, easy, and cheap to get, at the local courthouse. He'd have to stay at least 200 yards away from my house or face arrest. And I would definitely change the locks on the doors, or put in a video surveillance system (only $600) to see how often somebody has been invading my private home. How can you trust somebody like that, ever again, with ANYthing?
  • Huh.. Baseball bat to the head sounds reasonable.
  • show him how pissed off an Aussie can get as I am ripping him a new arsehole !! :):)
  • I would think he was totally out of line and proceed to put my size fives up his behind! Then I would ask him how it felt to be violated!
  • After the first few seconds of surprise, I would ask him how he got into the house why he was there (i.e. if my husband gave him permission to come & get something from the house then I wouldn't really have a right to blow up about it and jump to conclusions). If I didn't get an acceptable answer, I would tell (not ask) him to leave immediately or promise a call to the police. Then I'd call my husband and tell him what happened. Hopefully my spouse would support me and we could figure out how to handle it together.
  • I'd ask him to take off my bra and panties and leave immediately. Then I'd get extremely skeeved out;)
  • I would have a very calm raging fit.
  • Well, for me, being a guy, having a father-in-law who I trust, and being extremely open, I wouldn't much care. I'd probably ask him what he was looking for, but that's about it. I'd be a bit more concerned if he was going through my wife's personal stuff and I'd be significantly more concerned if I found my father going through my wife's personal stuff. My wife gets concerned when I go through her personal stuff. A couple of time while putting away laundry I said "this is interesting". It got quite a reaction. I know well enough that she's not hiding anything, unless it's a Christmas gift or something. It's just the way she is.
  • Ask him why he was invading my privacy and kick him out of the house.
  • Bust a cap.
  • OMG SweetCakes... I'd...I'd want a damn explanation that's for sure!!!!!! I might smash his face in thinking he's a robber!!!
  • Well, I would wonder why he drove 200 miles just to search the house, when we could have just gotten him what he needed and mailed it to him. I'd ask him what he was looking for and then see if I could find it for him, if he were to be looking for something he should have. I'd also talk with my hubby and find out what he thought about it all.
  • If I were a woman, I'd think, "What's up with this old panty-sniffin' letch?" Because I'm a guy, I'd wonder, "Why can't he just buy his own dope?" - ;-)
  • I think that depends on if he thinks ur on drugs or someone ur with is
