Chuck Norris is an older man. If someone attacks him even if he can fight them off why bother when you have the money to pay for protection. Not to mention a kick or punch cannot stop a bullet. Chucky is not modest nor is he very smart, just wealthy.

The bodyguards are to protect us, not Chuck Norris. If some fool tried to take on Chuck, he would hurt them much more than the bodyguards would. So the bodyguards stop fools from getting hurt.
