God I hope you are NOT serious.
Most people who make all the decisions for their entire life before that Learn to regret it at least a little till they've lived a little of life.
It's never too late, just think it through and weigh your options.

It's never too late, even if it's something immense like becoming a doctor. Many people, even those near or at retirement choose to do something different and become very good at it. And 23 is not very old to have had a career before.

    you go girl. lol.

    I wouldn't think so.

You're still young. It would be much better to start a new career now as opposed to later. Much more beneficial.

It's never too late to start a new career. People start going to college in their 30's and 40's now, and end up getting a degree and going into something that they enjoy much more that what they were doing before.

Age 23 is definitely not too late. Better to start a new career at that age than to wait until your in your mid 40s and your asking yourself this question again.

started mine at 33...then made serious changes and basically started over again at 37.

23? Too late? It's scary you even asked.

Yet it's good you didn't feel compelled to stay in a career you identified as not for you...and it's good you found out this early.

You have plenty of time....heck, you could have a new career for 10 more years and drop it to try another and still be all right.

Gosh no! I don't think 83 is too late to start a new career. The most important thing in life is finding something that makes you happy and gives your life some meaning. Go for it and keep trying until you find the right thing.

I started an apprenticeship when I was 28. While at school I met a couple of 40 year olds. What matters is what you want to do. You'll never earn enough money doing what you don't want to do because you simply won't put in as much effort as someone else who loves the same job.

Aim for what you do want to do, regardless of age. 23 is still a young whipper-snapper.

Think of it this way, time will keep passing and you will become 33 and still not have a career and you will think "Is it too late to start now at 33?" Which it wouldn't be... but why wait?

I think it is impossilbe to know what you want to do in your early 20s. The fact is, you are young and haven't lived much yet. Part of knowing what you want to do is to do a few different things so you get a sense of what they are really about. You can listen to people talk about different jobs and careers all day but until you give them a shot for yourself, you'll never really know what is right for you. Part of this process is trying some things that don't work. You simply check those off of your list as "not a fit" and move on down the road. They say people switch careers 4-5 times. I think that number will go up drastically for the younger generation. I'm 26 so I am right there with you!

You know, sometimes I find it hard to belive that people can actually be that much into this whole society thing. Before even trying to get an answer for that question, a piece of advice is needed by you, and here it goes: expand your knowledge, set new boundries, and you'll find out, at one point, that you could be more of a human being than what other people want you to be

I'm in my early 50's, and I just started a new career 2 yrs go .. and many of my friends are retiring from their 30 some odd year positions, and moving on to do the things they've always dreamed of doing! I say go for it at any age!!

I didn't finish my education until I was 27. Some people don't leave Med School until late 20-early 30's. You have a long way to go before you are even on time let alone late.
