The discovery of DNA could be a good thing, or a bad thing. I need some reasons why it was bad and why it was good. Any ideas? (This is for History- Medicine through time)

It was a good thing, because it gave scientists a better perspective in biology and anatomy of living organisms and their function. It was a bad thing because scientists used this to Genetically Modify Organisms with other organisms.

It's a good thing, because it allowed scientists to understand better how information has been transmitted from generation to generation throughout the history of life on Earth. The information can be misused, for example, DNA information could be used by insurance companies to deny insurance to people with genetic predispositions to certain diseases.
