  • There are so many ways to develop a name - one common way is combining two words into one ( not sure what that is called). Depending on your style of rap, you could easily pick up a dictionary and take two words and combine them, i.e. sinister + chemistry = sinistry
  • Simple. Take your name and put "MC" in front of it.
  • I think Yodeez is kinda cool...
  • What kind of rap are you performing? Where are you from and what kind of group do you want to associate with? Are you more of a 'thug' or like beastie boys or eminem? Rap names can be almost anything: 50 cent p diddy snoop dogg Like my name is dave mac so I'd probably be: D-Mac Mac dogg D MC I also, like chosun one's suggestion of mixing two words together. Another thing you could do is take a word and make it sound the same, but spell it all wrong (Eminem is like M&M) Another thing that you could do is use an adjective that describes you. (Fat Joe, young joc etc.) Maybe you could be Dark Mark or small Jeezy. Hope that would help with some ideas. I'm not really into the rap scene myself, but Best of luck with your rapping career =)

  • You have to choose something that you feel strongly represents who you are. Your Ora. The type of mood your music is. A lot of these "entertainers" now a days have the wackest names because it's catchy or it's "cool", but yet holds little meaning to whom they really are. Just keep it you.
  • To stand out from the pack I suggest using your own name. Usually someone has to give you a name after they've heard how good you are at rapping. I suggest you don't spend more time coming up with a name over developing your rap skills i.e. delivery, use of poetic elements such as rhyming, metaphors, and similes, and for the love of god create songs or have a good set of bars that make sense.

  • Sorry if the answers seem funny, but I've known too many rappers. I used to record in a studio where a lot of rappers also recorded, and they were always rapping about their egos, their posse, their enemies, and smoking fat blunts. Gotta hand it to them though, they were never stingy about smoking me out. But, I don't do that anymore. 32 Oz. (of beer) The Phillies (the blunts, not the team) Half Live (as opposed to an all live performance) New Shoes (when hung on a street sign shoes are used to show that the neighborhood is gang territory)
