  • You cannot know. Many questions are read on the main page and on various pages by a lot of users, but they choose those which they want to answer and sometimes, rate the others. By answers, it is different. To read an answer you will generally read the question first. And you must come either on the question view and read along until that answer, or chance on that specific answer view. But people who do not rate an answer have the possibility to post a comment on that answer. This would tell you that they read it. Usually, at least, an asker read the answers to their question. It would not be very fair not to do this. But some of them don't give any feedback, at least to some of the answers. One reason for this is that the answers that you become on a question do not always appear on your "my feedback" list. I observed this a lot of times. So it is better to look at your old questions from time to time.
  • You can only assume that they haven't or have been, there is no way to tell. I have 4827 answers, 1365 of which have never been rated--most are old (pre points) and probably never will be.
  • You can make friends, which will increase the likelihood of your posts drawing attention.
  • There is no way you can know who reads something and who doesn't. Many read answers but down up or down rate. Sorry. You just need to get over it and just write the best answers you can and get to now people here and have a good time.
  • If I find something interesting or not I may not want to downrate the user even if the answer is not particularly helpful, it may not be harmful either...I'm very new to this site but it seems that there's no reason to downrate an answer unless its harmful and no reason to uprate an answer unless its helpful...there is alot of grey area here between help and harm, a void filled with interesting and entertaining things that may not be particularly useful to me personally...I don't know, I'm very new here
