Because money does not buy love, inner peace, true friendship, etc... Money helps relieve some of life's stresses, I'm sure, but creates new problems, too.
-
I bet it can, if you shop around!
-
Because Jesus already paid for it.
-
ahh, of course it does. Being poor doesn't bring any happiness, that's for sure lol.
-
To quote Stephen Colbert: "Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy things that make you happy"
-
It's not for sale.
-
Because even millionaires can be crazy and have depression and get suicidal. Happiness requires a sound mind, and money can't buy that.
-
It does buy happiness, just not love.
-
Because once you have passed a fairly low level of possessions. happiness is far more likely to be produced by the love and respect of your fellow human beings than by possessions. Money can buy possessions, it can buy the service of others, it can sometimes buy the simulated love of others. But greatest happiness comes from real, and mutual, love.
-
Because you cant buy True Love, or Your Health. Two things you need to be totally happy.
-
I think that's silly! Money CAN buy happiness!! Of course, money alone wont make you happy, but it sure does help. Now I know that rich people still are sad sometimes blahblahblah... HOWEVER... Material possessions are nice, and having a house, clothes and a car sure as heck beats being homeless and naked. I challenge anyone who says material things are not important to give them all up.
-
simple...most people who have lots of money are greedy , its never never enough and they must at all costs have more of it. And greed never makes anyone truly happy
-
Such is spoken by those who have none.

Happiness comes from one's social interactions...Read this quote: "We humans are social beings. We come into the world as the result of others' actions. We survive here in dependence on others. Whether we like it or not, there is hardly a moment of our lives when we do not benefit from others' activities. For this reason it is hardly surprising that most of our happiness arises in the context of our relationships with others." Money is exchanged through interaction with, say, a consumer and a seller. From exchange there would be words, such as simply, "Here is your change," or the like. From words a conversation could stem, an social activity and interaction could strengthen. Referring back to my first paragraph, happiness comes from one's social interactions.
-
Because happiness doesn't come from outside of you, it comes from inside. You can't buy happiness. Plus happiness comes from giving not getting things.
-
Why not? I'd be pretty happy looking at my shiny Dome Zero from my 13-billion yen house counting money on top of a 10 thousand yen a night hooker.
-
because some people are just incapable of being happy. however a lack of money can destroy the happiness of people who are capable of happiness... it is tough to be happy when just food and shelter requires you work 80 hours per week making you miss out on your family.
-
money sure makes me feel happier:) But everyone needs family and friends around to love, cherish, and support you, and vice versa. :D
-
Because money can't buy feelings. +5
-
because the worst feeling is loneliness, and the only thing curing that is people you love.
-
because if you buy a swimming pull full of diamonds your not really accomplishing anything. go give some soup to some homeless people, i guaranty you that you'll be happy.
-
Because happiness is a moving target. If you buy something you want, you'll only be happy for a short time until you want something else.
-
money would give you the freedom to live without any bills, debt collectors, allow you to have all the material possesion your heart desires and allows you to travel abroad on holidays whenever you fancy, how could that not make anybody happy?? It can't buy you true love or true friendship but who needs that anyway?
-
Happiness is not something that we can go out and get.we always tend to look for this happiness in different places and through different means but you will not find it in any of these places because it comes from within us.
-
Because it comes free through positive thought :)
-
happiness is not wanting what you have but liking what you got. it is from within and cannot be bought. +5

I sure would like to hear what Martha Stewart has to say about this.
-

-

-
Because happiness is not for sale.
-
It does ... IF you consider freedom happiness. That's all money gives you freedom; the freedom to do anything and go anywhere at anytime for anyreason. That has been my experience. If you enjoy freedom, and freedom makes you happy, then money can buy happiness but, money, in-and-of-itself does not make you happy. It's just like any other tool, it's not having it that does it for you, it's how you use it :0
