  • If you're too young to be going out, I’m going to assume you're in junior high school or maybe even in elementary school. Don't get offended, because I just don't know. However, if your only opportunity to spend time with her is at school, then make an effort to be her friend. When you have a lunch period together, sit with her. If you have any classes together, then sit with her and talk to her before and after class. The more you hang out with her, the better your chances will be. If you make her your friend now, then you will have an opportunity when you get older to become a couple. There's nothing wrong with spending time together as friends, so if you do become good friends, then try to hang out with her outside of school. In addition, remember there's really no age requirement to go out together...unless you're both very, very young there should be no problem hanging out together and becoming close. Most kids start dating at between 11 and 13 years old anyway, from 5th grade onward.
  • It sounds like you had time to meet this girl in school, so you probably can find time to get to know her better and build up a friendship in school. If you're really serious about looking for ways to spend more time together (and she feels the same way), you could ask for permission to hang out with a larger group of friends. That might be less threatening to your poor parents than coping with the idea of their children "going out"! And I really believe that the best romantic relationships start out with friendship, so it could also be good for you two to begin in a lower-pressure "friend situation. And if you're really good at showing your parents how responsible and trustworthy you can be, depending on how old you are, you might be able to work out a compromise as time goes by. What about studying together, if you have classes together? Or visiting each other's houses or seeing a movie together with a parent chaperone? Okay, studying together doesn't sound that romantic or exciting... but homework still needs to be done, and it can be fun to do it with friends, even helpful if you don't get distracted too easily. And if you are going to have a solid romantic relationship further down the road you need to know how to spend good casual time together in addition to doing more exciting things!
  • Enjoy the time you do have together and get to know each other better.
