  • I also have really damaged hair. (Dying your hair bi-weekly for 8 years will do that to you!) My all time favorite dye is the Garnier dye with the green and yellow box [I don't know the actual brand name, I just know what the box looks like.] A close second would be Herbal Essence. No matter what you use, make sure to buy a really good conditioner [I use Aussie 3-minute miracle] to use once you run out/in between uses of what they include in the box.
  • i only dye my hair 2x's a year, but stil have damage, but not as bad. i use Clairol Nice'n'Easy ( for really damaged hair, buy from mulberry-health.com, no chemicals or alchohol to damage hair, these are all natural. I use aloe and jojoba shampoo and conditioner and Protect B5 Hair Repair), I also take a multi vitamin liquid from Awarnesslife.com called: Daily complete- it has 211 vitamins, herbs and minerals, and deep condition once a week, shampooing and conditioning i use aloe and jojoba from mulberry-health.com. when conditioning, only condition the strands close to the scalp, but do not touch the scalp- rinse very well. lastly- do not use styling products that has alchohol or chemicals in them, they tend to do more damage and fade the coor faster, and you wind up with the major frizzies. remember, when going from dark blonde to light blonde keep in mind.., do you have natural red tones in your hair, or is it ash in color(no natural tones) if so, then go for a neutual light blonde. you don't want to go for any warm tones, some can make your hair brassy looking.
  • I recommend doing it professionally because I'm seeing too many yellow headed people these days.
