  • the family of a friend of mine owns a ranch a couple of miles away, so I occasionally go riding there. I also sometimes ride at a horsecamp in the summer.
  • At my boarding stable usually, unless we are trailering out for a show or to go schooling.
  • Usually at my sisters farm, but occasionally we go ride the trails at Loud Thunder Forrest Preserve, Rock Island County, Illinois. Once a year we camp at Big Creek Trail Ride at Hartshorn, Missouri. It's in the Ozark Mountains and runs along The National Scenic Waterways on the Current River. We take our horsecamper and our own horses and their food. The trails are challenging and take you up and down the hills, across the river, and through the creeks. They provide guides or you can go out on your own. You don't have to cook and the food is great. If you go away from there hungry, it's your own fault.
