I love her songs too. http://www.helenreddy.com/ Helen Reddy has retired from performing concerts around the world, and is now a practicing Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Sydney and is Patron of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Reddy

She is back in Australia now. I saw her on TV in a special on the ladies of Australian music, recently.

My 3 sisters and I sang this with my mother as she was dying in 1981 .. I love Helen Reddy for this song and for the one that kept me going as a single mom in the early 70's ~ It's You & Me Against the World! Great question ~ thanks for the memories! I am woman, hear me roar In numbers too big to ignore And I know too much to go back an' pretend 'cause I've heard it all before And I've been down there on the floor No one's ever gonna keep me down again Oh yes I am wise But it's wisdom born of pain Yes, I've paid the price But look how much I gained If I have to, I can do anything I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible) I am woman You can bend but never break me 'cause it only serves to make me More determined to achieve my final goal And I come back even stronger Not a novice any longer 'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul I am woman watch me grow See me standing toe to toe As I spread my lovin' arms across the land But I'm still an embryo With a long long way to go Until I make my brother understand Oh yes I am wise But it's wisdom born of pain Yes, I've paid the price But look how much I gained If I have to I can face anything I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible) I am woman Oh, I am woman I am invincible I am strong I am woman I am invincible I am strong I am womanI am woman hear me roar!!!

ROTFLMAO...in 1974 I had a mustang fastback(1971?)..Anyway I had to drive from Vancouver BC to Ottawa (6000 miles) by myself and I had an 8-track player and that was the only tape I had..and there is little radio reception for most of the trip...It was me and Helen all across Canada.."I am woman here me roar".(It's no wonder I'm gay!)

i liked the song where she turned the radio down and her imaginary friend shrunk. She was always singing about crazy women, Ruby and Delta, etc.
