Replace the plastic coil housing under the vally cover and it will run great. You should see a burn spot on the underside of the white housing. That is why they are all gone from all the junk yards.

I have a 00 grand am with 93000 miles on it. It has been running terrible. It will spit and sputter going up hill and when your ideling it sounds like it's going to stall out. (The engine size is 2.4, 4 cylinder)Now it's gotten to the point to where it will lunge, sputter and die. Checked the cat convertor and that's not plugged up, changed the exhaust pipe, the fuel pump and it's still doing the same thing. The coder is reading misfire, just plain old misfire....getting ready to change the crankshaft sensor now and see if that's the problem. anyone have a similar problem or have any ideas on what the problem could be?

The diagnostic chart starts by looking at the fuel injector for #1 not the plug. I can send you the trouble tree if you would like. Drop me an email and I will send it. My address is in my profile.
