    Bill Bradley, a 9-year-old boy who was blind. Aspromonte was asked by the team to visit the boy in the hospital, because he was Bill's hero. Bob went, and as he left he promised Bill he would hit a home run for him. And he did, twice. The two bonded, and when Bill was 12 and playing in Little League, he promised Bob he'd pitch a no-hitter game for him. And he did. FYI: Girard's surgery worked, and Bill regained sight in both his eyes. Ron and Mary Jo Hatfield also were there; Mary Jo looked great after her recent hospital stint. Attorney Jim Ware and his publicist wife, Dancie, came from Galveston, looking none the worse for wear after her monumental job on the Galveston Mardi Gras, an annual event for her. ...
