Each meal produces feces. So it depends on what you ate in a particular meal. Basically, the less fibre in the meal, the stickier the feces will be, and the slower it moves. Cheese can be a culprit, as can dehydration. The less moisture in your large intestine, the stickier the feces will be -- which is why fibre is good, it brings moisture to the large intestine.

What you eat affects this - but may I make a suggestion. I keep a little lubriderm with me to moisten the TP with after I go - This aids in the cleaning effect.

Some bowel movements are covered in a mucous sheath. A slimy covering manufactured by your large intestine. These are the ones that require no wiping. Others dont' have this nice mucous covering so they smear.
