  • God makes people the way they are gay or straight, maybe they just think that the views of the HUMANS who wrote the holy books are a load of ....er you get the idea :-)
  • People see the Bible (and other holy books) differently. One can still have faith in a higher power and practice the general guidelines of spirituality and faith without following the to the letter everything written in the Bible (contrary to their own adamant statements, not even fundamentalists follow everything in the Bible). A religion is really only as good and the people who practice it. There will be mistakes in interpretation, slanted doctrine and misguided believers. But there's no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak.
  • Ok let’s get this on the right track. Gay, homosexual, whatever you want to call it, is still sexual deviant behavior. Why are we afraid of insulting them? Most states have laws against sexual deviant behavior and laws against sodomy which is what most homosexuals engage in. Why are these laws not enforced? You can make up any religion you want to, but you still have to deal with your guilt. The fact remains that no matter what religion you pick or make up, you will still have to deal with the emptiness and loneliness you feel inside. Not only is your behavior illegal, but it is also an abomination to God. Why are you looking for acceptance from religious people? Take it up with God or make your own religion so that you will be accepted amongst yourselves.
  • ALL sin is an abomination to God. Once you realize that, homosexuality is no worse than gluttony or anger.
