Would you prefer passive-aggressive to aggressive? Hate is aggressive and can also lead to passive-aggressive behaviours.

Hating them isn't going to help you or them but what would annoy me the most is when they say they are going to do something (but don't really want to do it) and pull out at the last minute, when it will cause you maximum inconvenience and annoyance. Getting a "no" after a request is annoying but at least you know where you stand and you are not relying on them to do things they have no real intention of doing.
