  • Yes women who have had a tubal ligation can become Mormon, I had one in 2002 and just became a member of the LDS on Easter Sunday
  • Yes, in fact women who are members can have a tubal ligation. Birth control is considered to be a personal decision. The reason why mormons typically have large families is because we beleive that the family is the most importain thing in life, and that being a parent is one of the most honorable positions you can hold. We beleive that everyone exists as a spirit before they are born, so if you have a loving home that you should shelter as many as you are capable to keep them from going to family situation where they might be abused ect. This is the philosophy but it is still baised on a person's own determination of their own capabilities. If you wish later to have a large family, there's always adoption which is an option that many LDS families take.
  • How does tubal ligation prevent you from worshiping God? It doesn't! It will not prevent you from being baptized into the Church. We believe that birth control is a personal choice between husband and wife. However, we are anti-abortion 99% of the time.
