  • This invention can be found by looking up patents online for free.
  • Kimberly Campanelli invented the digital photo frame. She called it "Framing The Future". She had worked months on the design and technical componants. When she contacted "Inventors Hotline", a search was done to check if anyone already had the idea patented or if it was already on the market. The answer to both questions was "No". Prior to sending her invention, she sent it to herself via Certified Mail and had it notorized along with (c) with her name and date. This is all locked in a safe. Unfortunately, she could not afford the $5,000.oo it cost to get the patent and no one, not even her family would back her even though money wasn't an issue. Approximately 6 months later, the Digital Photo Frame was advertised in a magazine and then almost overnight, it began appearing everywhere. I'm sure she would like to know the person that ended up having it patented and if due to her not being able to afford the $5,000.oo, which the Inventors Hotline asked her for several times and still she couldn't find someone to back her, it ended up more or less a 'free for all'. Even if she 'was' the 'first' to invent this idea and submit the entire break down of "Framing The Future", what good would it do her now? She 'thought' that by sending the package to herself via mail, certified mail and notorized would help her but how would one go about it? It seems quite clear that unless you don't have money to pay for a patent, don't bother. Shut your mouth, burn the material. Only those with money can make money.
