  • Is that a city, county, or state statute? What city? What agency issued the ticket? (county sheriff, city or state police?) Is there a mailing address to pay a fine for the ticket? Traffic tickets are usually handled by a separate Traffic Court. You could probably call the county courthouse for whatever county issued the ticket, ask for the Clerk, and ask what the standard penalty is for that offense. Somebody in the court keeps a list of fines for each type of infraction. From the sounds of it, I wouldn't expect more than $100 or $200.
  • These differ from state to state.... even the name of tickets you need to call court clerk way before court date if you are going to protest ticket send it right in do not wait!!!!!
  • It depends entirely on your jurisdiction, but it sounds like a moving infraction and that can be expensive. Call your local police or the traffic department of your courthouse. Either should be able to tell you the fine if it wasn't written on your ticket.
