This is a very loaded question. Nonetheless... There isn't any information given as to what will happen to pets should their owners be 'taken'. However, given that when God flooded the Earth, only two (in a few cases more) of each kind of animal was saved, it's my opinion that the saving of family pets at the 'Rapture' is unlikely. What IS clear from scripture is that God gives life to all things, and reserves the right to end life, too.

At the marriage supper of the Lamb of Christ that takes place after the rapture of the Church, I am going to be asking about my pets. I believe that heaven being heaven, they wll be sent for by a gracious and loving Saviour.

Simply put, most christians believe that animals are organic pieces of trash to be used and abused by humans and then thrown away at the end. They don't believe that animals have souls or any other significance on this earth than to be used by us. This means that animals will be unimportant to our happiness in the next life and are trash to be left behind and disposed of along with the unbelievers.
