  • My van does this whenever the transmission fluid is slightly low... which is about weekly. (If I planned on keeping this van, I'd get that leak fixed, but that's a separate issue.) I just add about a pint of ATF and I'm fine for a bit. However, I should warn you that this may not be your issue; it is merely what my experiences with one particlar vehicle are.
  • your cadalidic converter may be cloged that would be my guess o2 sensor or something
  • Without knowing what you are driving, I can only guess, but it is possible that it isn't a transmission problem at all. A bad throttle position sensor will produce exactly the symptoms you are describing.
  • I had this problem too. I flushed out the transmission fluid to stop the valves from sticking. It now runs a lot better. This might not be your problem but it's a cheap solution to your problem without having to bring it in somewhere.
