Yes. There are blood test that can detect any type of drug in the system. I dont know why this drug would be a concern. There isnt a test for an Atenolol "level" as with Digoxin (Lanoxin) or Dilantin because Atenolol is short acting and not a "level" producing drug. However, there is a toxocology screen that can find any drug. If you are asking about a "drug screen" that finds illicit drugs such as a pre-employment screen, this would not be one of the drugs addressed by this test. Drug screens for illicit drugs usually address cannabinoids (marijuana), cocaine, narcotics, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines (xanax, ativan, valium),and LSD.
