Why is Ondansetron (Zofran) so much more expensive than other antiemetics like Cyclizine?

There are a few reasons, one of them being that Zofran is not in generic! Brand always costs more than generic. The other thing is that you can't really compare the two because they are from totally different chemical families.

In fact, Zofran was originally used for cancer patients to combat nausea due to chemotherapy.
