You're reading I have a choice: a '94 Honda CBR 600 for about $3000 needs work or an '05 Aprilia RS125 with a cracked fairing for about $4500...?
Comments
Commuting, some long distance. Three years, maybe four. Insurance, no idea.
Honda needs RWC, seals replaced, new battery and seat.
Aprilia hasn't been started for nine months... ? ...

go w/ the honda.how long has it been since the honda has been run? if it has been sitting w/ gas in the system the gas tanks are notorious for rusting and it gets into the carbs, and the carbs must be torn down and cleaned.

Hmmph. It's been a while. Probably 6 months estimate.

6 mos.is a toss up.if the tank still has gas in it drain it and ck to see if theres any rust inside.you still maybe ok.the best thing to do if there is no rust, drain the carbs, and tank change the fuel filter, fill the tank w/ fresh gas and add a can of "sta-bil" run the engine for 10-15 min.it will clean the fuel system ,keep varnish from forming, and it will be easier to start after storage.
