    you should NEVER buy any bird from a flea market or bird show be careful where your birds have been if they are exposed to other breeders babies or older birds that might be sick,they can catch something.there is nothing wrong with a quality pet store or go to a reputal breeder that has there birds vet checked regularly.. as with most things in life you get what you pay for!! quakers are the most underated bird on the planet..they are way underpriced for what you get in return..take your new pet to an avian vet for a check up as you would for a new puppy or kitten also..if you get a bird cheap , mostlikely the breeders did not invest in vetwork..they need to make a profit for all their HARD work!!
