I did. I got a little teary-eyed, just as Walter Cronkite did! Actually I was more choked up when they first touched down and declared, "The Eagle has landed." Walking around was a bonus.

I was nine, and as if I didn't feel small enough already, I was made to feel infinitely smaller. I don't think I feel any bigger today. That's how lasting the impression was/is. It changed everyone's life who was alive to see it. It was, without doubt, the single most influential event of my lifetime, even outdoing 9/11, which would probably rank a close second, with the assassination of JFK being third, the resignation of Nixon fourth, and the assassinations of MLK and RFK likely tying for fifth. Nothing tops seeing the the sun set behind earth from space. That put us all in perspective. No one went unaffected by that.

It was really cool. I think I was about six years old. I remember watching the old black and white console TV. The screen was smaller than the console......thinking about 15 inches.

I watched it. I was an adult living in North Dakota. The video feed wasn't 100% clear and the TV reception where we lived wasn't very good. But I saw it and it made me feel proud to the an American. Thank you.
