I was a Hodgkin's Lymphoma patient, I was diagnosed 3 days after my 15th birthday back in October 2004. I had gotten a biopsy (which is like a test/sample to check and see if the swollen lymph nodes were cancerous) and they told me that very same day whether I had cancer or not. I also had symptoms of night sweating, random itchiness on my hands and feet (mainly night time), fatigue (a strange tiredness, even with sufficient amount of sleep) and swollen lymph nodes. I didn't know what it was at the time, but I searched online and diagnosed myself what it was. Sure enough, I found out from the doctors that's just what it was. For treatment, I went through different rounds of chemotherapy. I had 3 relapses, and I was only able to receive 3 different treatment plans. The first was chemotherapy and low dosages of radiation, the second was chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant of my own cells...and the 3rd was chemo, high radiation, and a stem cell transplant of someone else's cells. (The purpose of the transplant was to knock out my old immune system, and give me a brand new one in order that it might recognize the cancer cells and fight it.) According to my doctor, I'm still battling cancer. But right after my 3 relapse of having cancer again, I cried out to God (I hit rock bottom basically, I never knew pain could get so bad) and God answered and saved my life. God changed my life ever since through Christ. As far as I'm concerned, my faith rests in God and I'm cured. (actually right now, my doctor says I shouldn't be alive at this point!) If you know someone battling cancer or if you're battling cancer, never give up on hope and trust in the Lord Jesus who forgives your sins and heals all your diseases. (no joke!) God bless. =)
