  • It's possible, but any moron that knows CC fraud will have it shipped to an address far away from his own house. The general rule is that 3-5 miles away is safe, any closer and your going to have police narrowing down your area, any farther and people will wonder why your making so many trips to an area so far away from home for seemingly no reason.
  • That responsibility wouldn't be yours, it would be the creditors problem. Like the previous post you would only be responsible for the first 50 dollars. You should also inform the credit card company, and put all your cards and credit bureau's on fraud alert.
  • can try if the company will give up the address-could just give the info to the cops and they certainly could if you can get them to do it--might not be high on there list of priorities though-----enjoy the day
  • Call the credit card company, explain the situation to them. I can promise you they have alot more ways to deal with someone like that than you do. They generally go after thieves with a vengeance, and will certainly get the police involved.
  • I have just had an instance of paying $500 to a company for goods. The company did not send the goods and have an answer phone directing you to their Website to order goods. I dread to think how many people they have conned. I filled in a form not many questions and the money has been credited to my account within two weeks. I thought that was pretty efficient. I presume that if you explained to the company and you had reported the theft of your card they would reinburse you for any loss.
  • They wouldn't give me the address, maybe it's because I didn't use the word "nab," I said "rip off their testicles"
  • This happened to me only the crooks had the package shipped to a vacant house, hoping UPS would just drop it there. UPS was SMART enough to call me to say 'is this the right addy as it appears to be a vacant house?' Was able to send the package back and turn the crime into the police who weren't able to find the crooks. They said this was very common. And it wasn't a stolen cc..only the cc number was stolen from an online order that was mine! So, yes, but no!
  • maybe. but the best thing to do is call the credit card company they can track the ip addresses and that its not you.
  • Unfortunately the credit card companies aren't interested in nabbing the bad guys. They just write off the debt and move on. It's cheaper for them that way. If you have a charge you didn't authorize your first step is to call the credit card company immediately and let them know.
  • just do a chargeback... why would u want anything else besides your money back???
  • Make the credit card company fix your account first of all. What they will do next is get the money back from the company that accepted the card so the seller will be the one that is out the money, not the credit card company. If the seller wants to persue it, it is their perogative at that point.
  • the credit card fraud dept will do all of this for you.
