Yeah. He even created it.

I honestly don't believe in God. However, if I did, he would be able to move the freakin mountain.
-
Why would God go about moving mountains..what's the point..
-
but remember it cannot be moved he created it that way so can he himself move it?
-
That is a logically invalid situation, I'll explain why: If God can do anything, there -can not exist- a mountain that he cannot move. This is not because he doesn't have the power to create such a mountain, but because such a mountain -can not exist-. It's the same as saying "If I have a flame that can heat anything, can it heat something that cannot be heated?" The answer isn't yes or no, since neither answer can be true; the situation is logically invalid. If the flame can heat anything, then there is not a single thing that 'cannot be heated'. Likewise, if there is something that 'cannot be heated', there simply can't exist a flame that can 'heat anything'... The situation is impossible and doesn't make enough sense to even answer properly. ***** The only way to get around this problem with the concept of an Omnipotent being is to say the following: If he/she/it/they -choose- to make themselves unable to move that mountain, then they are unable to move that mountain. They cannot make a mountain that cannot be moved AND be omnipotent beings - the situation doesn't make sense, it is impossible, and it is logically invalid. ***** It is about trying to get two mutually-exclusive things to happen at once; they can't happen at once because they are mutually-exclusive! For it to be any other way requires that you change the situation (make God make himself unable to move the mountain, rather than make the mountain unable to be moved). ***** In short, no. : P

We all have to remember that most quotes and biblical verses regarding God is for the most part, is phrased metiphorically. This is the way people of power in the day has written things down.
-
yes - he would recreate the mountain and 'delete' the other one - not moving it. a technicality

What you have done is taken a nonsense situation and put the words "Can God" in front of it. Nonsense situation: Can an unmovable mountain be moved by an irresistable force? Answer: The two can't exist in the same universe. It's a logical contradiction, and outside of mental hospitals logical contradictions can't exist. Many such sentences can be constructed, but the real reason behind them is to let you conclude "God can't exist, because either He can't create the mountain or He can't move it, and since God should be able to do anything, there must be no God." Except that there is, and God has made a universe where He has decided not to create any unmoveable mountains. And if we ask "Can you," His answer is "I have decided not to, and that's just going to have to be good enough for you."
