Leggos, theres just so much you can do with them.

Lego is the best toy for any age group. It is practically indestructible, stretches the imagination and develops spatial skills.

- I love lego. You can wash it and keep it clean, which makes it great for small kids who tend to put things in mouths. And you can start off with the Duplo for the real little ones, then go on to the advanced stuff and it all fits together.

Legos are the best. What's an "Erector Set"? That sounds a bit too naughty for a child. Heh, heh.

Depends on the child's age. Lincoln logs is a good starter for the youngest. Then Leggos and erector sets. However, the kid may have no interest in any of them. They may want a musical instrument or a paint set,...or a microscope. That is OK, too. We have no dearth of engineers...or lawyers.
