When I listen to radio stations that are targeted to a certain ethnic group, I hear so many sentences started out with the word "actually". Why is this?

    It's bad sentence structure that spreads like a virus because somewhere along the line someone thought it was cool to say.

    Like the word "antisocial" often heard as "antisocialBLE."

    Keep your ears open for the inappropriate use of the term "per se".

    That's a real groaner.

    I think it makes them think that:

    1. They are smarterest (tongue in cheek)

    and

    2. It lets them get away with what they are about to say.
