  • You can hook the speaker straight up to the outputs for the house speakers but you won't get much power, what you're talking about doing is hooking the amp from the car up inside you'll need a 12v power supply for that, and unless you know what your doing, don't bother.
  • i have taken a house radio ran the wires to an amp and then to my subs. sounds really nice and loud. i use a car batterie with a charger so that i get constant power. i run other speaker wire to other speakers for the high and mids. and sometimes i use an after market cd player hooked up just like i would in my car and that even sounded really good. i just built a box to mount the cdplayer in and the amp on top of it.the car batterie is put up out of place and the speakers are sent around the room to make it look like it is something that belongs there and not just in a car. i have a 1 farad cap hooked up so that i can give the amp all the power that it needs and the betterie charger hooked up to keep a good power supply. its a very nice set up. my neighbors dont like it because its pretty loud and the bass shakes the whole aparment pretty good when i turn up the volume.
