• Probably is the most accurate answer. There are many things that encourage oil use and none of them is going to change without a) additional fuel sources developed, made available, and inexpensive b)people change their attitudes about fuel consumption (opting for public transit for example). This is an oversimplified view of course.

• It's interesing that no one was worried about the number of vehicles using fuel until the vehicles become available to the third 2nd and 3rd world population. If every person in the US shared a ride to work with someone else they couldn't make or sell enough Nanos to make up the difference. Instead of telling them they cant have cars we should change our habits.
  As fo fuel cells, they sound great but it still takes more energy to produce hydrogen than you get. About 40-50 percent of the energy used to create the hydrogen makes it to the drive wheels of a vehicle. As far as zero emissions, all you are doing is exporting the emissions to the hydrogen production facility.

• I did not know that the nano was only for countries other than America. Don't we live on the same planet? Designing a car like a paper plate tho makes you wonder the outcome.

• Suzuki. That's a tough one. They are pretty good on emissions, but I can see the actual CARS being the issue. Especially since the people buying them will be young, and probably ignorant to the effects of "throwaway" things like starter cars.

• Good point. I think if there is no plan in place to recycle, reduce, reuse there will be trash build up.

• I've been all over Europe and to the middle east and have seen their idea of 'recycling' - throwing trash in the nile, down the street, or wherever else is convenient. Count me in as worried.
