Has anyone used the RosettaStone software series for learning how to speak Spanish? Did it work? Are there better ones out there?

well hard to tell because the way i learned spanish was to memorize simple words. kind of like making yourself learn spanish at a kindergarden grade and then gradually going up. Those softwares etc only teach you how to say "phrases" and repeats itself so you can memorize the phrase and what it means. Dont get me wrong, theres no wrong way to learn but i learned from watching educational shows in spanish like sesame street ( not dora the explorer)
