If you're going to breastfeed then you need at least 3500 calories a day. Even on a diet like this, if you are breastfeeding, you can still lose weight. Breastfeeding takes a lot out of you - and gives a lot to your baby (especially antibodies).

I eat small meals 2 include a yogurt. I snack on fruit instead of sweets and then I drink tea to flush my system and clean me... I have lost 120lbs. Over the last 5 months.

Well it depends if you are breastfeeding or not. If you are you shouldnt really go on a diet, just eat healthy and dont snack on chips, sugary food and fast food. It will drop of fast, because breastfeeding helps with loosing the weight.
If you are not than, try and eat less carbohydrates, sugary and fatty foods. Drink alot of fruit juices and water and avoid, high calorie drinks and soda's. Just also gotta start exercising a bit to get the stomach back to normal, but you gotta get permission normally from your doctor, it depends on how you delivered ect.
Try not to eat too late, atleast dont eat 3 hours before you go to bed. Eat slow, cos it takes 20 min for your brain to realise your full. So if you eat fast, its too late!!
But you need energy for your baby too, so definately dont go on a too extreme diet!! The baby is more important now and you have to enjoy it, not think too much of the diet. Good luck.

well you will lose it pretty fast if you eat 1200 calories a day or 1500. NO LESS THAN 1200 though, it's not good for you. White meat, veggies, fruit, whole grains. (dont eat fast food) you'll do great on that diet. Good luck and congrats on the new baby

Diets aren't "easy" so concentrate on the healthy part and be disciplined. Exercise and healthy diet will lead to a healthy you. *sips coke*

    Good luck!

Eat healthy and balanced, and stop when you're satisfied. Also if you can, breastfeed. One good thing about losing the pregnancy weight is that it tends to come off pretty easily, mostly. The one bad thing, is that you're in the habit of eating for two, and you just need to try to remember how much you need to eat for only one, and stick to that!

Weight Watchers all the way...they even consider whether you are breastfeeding.

Instead of going on a "diet", just make healthy choices. Instead of snacking on chips, cookies and soda have a piece of fruit and some water or a cup of herbal tea. Instead of a hamburger and french fries have a salad topped with lean, sliced steak and a baked potato. Just making changes like that have a huge impact. Equally important is getting some exercise. If you are out of shape, start with taking a walk every day and work your way up to jogging or aerobics.

If you go on a diet and count every calorie you are more likely to drive yourself crazy and feel deprived and then binge on fattening foods. If you are really craving something "bad" like ice cream or cake, let yourself have a small portion. You'll be less likely to go off the deep end and binge on a gallon of ice cream that way!

Why didn't you abort it instead of causing yourself these problems?
