  • record the info and then play back and forth like twenty times, works all the time for me
  • Read it on the throne & then have someone ask you questions at home or one of your friends come & give you a quiz at home.
  • Memorize it in manageable chunks. with rest in between. This is the most effective way to memorize material for an exam.
  • Study it.
  • it depends on if you're an auditory or visual learner; i never could read anything and retain it very well but i can hear something once and pretty much have it down; if you're that way too: i used to make up study questions and record them on tape then wait about 5 seconds before you record the answer @ the end of each question....then as you listen to it over and over~you will be able to say the answer before the tape does.....worked great for me! and good luck :)
  • I find flash cards are the best method. Make the flash cards and then memorize four at a time. Start by reading the question and then memorizing the answer; once you have done this, reverse the card; read the answer and try to get the question. Once all four are memorized, move on to the next four. I have found that this is a great method for force-feeding your brain.
  • When i need to memorize something,I usualy do it just before bed,but not when I'm too tired,i heard that studying before you go to sleep makes it easier for your brain to remember it because during sleep your brain is sorting out everything you did the previous day,so I write it over and over and over again untill i can write it without any help. Then I go to sleep. It works me for every time.
  • If at all possible, try not to memorize anything. It's a whole lot better to *understand* the process behind whatever it is that you are learning, if possible. Many charts, patterns and tables can be created on the fly once the derivation of such has been firmly understood. Strange words and terms can usually be traced back as having ancestors to common words. Even history dates work best if the timing of events is properly noted. Memorizing does have a place in study, but it should be toward the "last resort" of techniques. Know thy material.
