We wage spiritual warfare against the unholy trinity, the devil the world and our sinful flesh, all those things which threaten our spiritual well being and war against the Lord and his servants. We wage war with spiritual weapons, which are found in the Word of God. The Sword of the Spirit, etc. (Ephesians 6). God also charges his angels to fight against the devil and all the enemies that threaten his saved people.

If we are to be delivered from the Devil, we must wage spiritual warfare against the wicked spirit forces. Victory in the face of such odds depends on our wearing “the complete suit of armor from God.” (Ephesians 6:11-18) This armor includes “the breastplate of righteousness.” (Ephesians 6:14) King Saul of ancient Israel disobeyed God and suffered the loss of holy spirit. (1 Samuel 15:22, 23) But if we practice righteousness and have on the full suit of spiritual armor, we will have God’s holy spirit and the needed protection against Satan and his wicked angels, the demons.—Proverbs 18:10.

For continued protection against the wicked spirit forces, we need, among other things, to read and study God’s Word regularly, making good use of publications provided through “the faithful steward.” (Luke 12:42) We will thus be filling our mind with wholesome spiritual matters, in harmony with Paul’s counsel: “Brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well spoken of, whatever virtue there is and whatever praiseworthy thing there is, continue considering these things.”—Philippians 4:8.

Ephesians 6:10-12 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. "

What we need to realize is that spiritual warfare is just that, spiritual warfare. When Christians daily enter into this battle, they need to understand that it is "not" against humanity but against satan and his demonic forces. I see verbal battles in here all the time between Christians and unbelievers. I have been guilty of such myself. People are not our enemies no matter how annoying they may get. satan is our adversary and we need to approach this battle with the whole Armor of God, with prayer and supplication.

Arguing with people not only strengthens the enemy's resolve, but it defeats the whole purpose of the armor. We have only one offensive weapon at our disposal, the Sword of the Lord, His Word. If our armor is intact, when the Sword is used, it cuts deeper than any words that we may utter from our own minds.

When Jesus faced satan's temptations, He always used Scripture, just as we must always use it. Satan left Jesus just as he will leave us if we apply the Word. Spiritual warfare has impacted my life greatly. I got my first taste of this war just a couple of days after I was born-again. The evil that I felt was almost thick enough to touch. I prayed like never before. The evil left but it changed my life forever. Each day I grow stronger in the Lord. What a blessing.

Defending the faith by any means possible. Babtising, preaching, or even exorsisms. Ive hered of people who KNOW they are protected by God who taunt demons and the devil. This can be a dangerous buissness for the truley unbeliving.

Spiritual Warefare has opened the doors of Angelology and Demonology to me. This is the place God has made for me. Theology I, a while ago, I didn't even know exsisted.

We understand your martyr attitude all too well.

What is it about Christianity in that they're not happy unless they're being 'persecuted' for something, anything?

I strongly recommend the book "Spiritual Warfare: The Battle For God's Glory" by Jerry Rankin. It is by far the best book I've read on the topic.

You can get here pretty cheap:

    Love in Jesus.
