  • If you want to keep the bird grounded and clipped, then you will have to do it after each molt and regrowth of the flight feathers. You will be able to see when this happens as the feathers will fall out and regrow. But you do need to wait until the feathers are done growing in so they don't bleed and are 'done'.   • It does depend on the bird when you see it is getting longer clip it. Some parakeet fethers grow faster some dont
