They're great simply steamed with some melted butter to dip in. Every Easter we make stuffed artichokes; we steam them, add a bread and egg stuffing and then bake them for a while. Delicious.

I just steam them and have them with garlic butter..simple and good.

steam (or even boil) with some salt and olive oil and garlic (or garlic salt?) serve with drawn butter. takes 10 minutes, tops.

I trim off the ends steam them then I seperate the leaves take some breadcrumbs add to the bread crumbs salt, pepper, fresh chopped garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, freshly grated parmesean cheese mix it all together then sprinkle it over the artichokles and allow the mixture to get between the leaves. I then place the artichokes on a cookie sheet or in a roasting pan and drizzle some good quality extra virgin olive oil over the top and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or when the breadcrumbs become a golden brown color.

I steam mine and then dip them in ranch dressing mixed with salsa.

Cut off the pointing ends, the top 1/2inch and most of the stem, remove the bottom few rows of leaves(they tend to be too tough) Steam for 10 min (micro wave is fine) with some lemon juice squirted on the top to help prevent browning. Dip in melted butter, garlic and lemon juice. Some one did a test of artichokes. They alter your sweet taste, everything tasts sweeter after eating an artichoke.
