  • First of all, no she can't just kick you out right away. I'm sure exact laws vary per state. Now, why does your mom want to kick you out? Have you had a falling out? Have you been breaking the rules or been involved in activities she disapproves of? I would try talking to your school guidance counselor about your problems.
  • Yes, a parent is no longer obligated to provide room and board to a person who has reached the age of majority. They can call the sheriff and have you evicted, after meeting the legal requirements of your state requirements. An "unlawful detainer" usually requires that you meet the statutory requirements. If you are served with an Unlawful Detainer complaint, the complaint will show the court location where you should file your answer. You have five days to respond in writing to the landlord’s/parent's complaint. After you have filed your written answer to the landlord’s/parent's complaint in the clerk’s office and an At Issue Memorandum is filed by the plaintiff, you will both be notified by mail of the time and place of trial. There is a filing fee when you file your written answer. However, it is possible to obtain a waiver of the fee if you cannot afford to pay. In order to obtain a fee waiver, you must file an Application for Waiver of Court Fees and Costs at the time you file your answer. The Application for Waiver of Court Fees and Costs form may be obtained from the Clerk’s Office.
  • why would your mom wat=nt you out.
  • as long as you are still in high school she cannot throw you out. If she tries, just go get an order of protection, and have her served. you could get a "limited order of protection" which is basically to refrain from harrassment, trying to illegally evict, etc. if she throws you out how will you continue to go to school and finish high school. I believe that the reason why she did it now that you turned 18 is because now she can't be arrested and charged with child abuse. you could get a court oder ordering your mom to continiue supporting you until your finish high school. if she's trying to act crazy, take your clothes, and your personal belongings and go. You are also entitled to take your furniture, since it was bought FOR YOU while you were her dependent it is yours. since she's acting like this right now, how will you be able to attend college. under federal financial aid standards, no one under the age of 25 are allowed to apply for financial aid on their own. they need their parents tax info. your gonna have problems with attending college.
