miRi hates social norms and regulations

i've never heard of a church that accepts it, but me personally i'm religious but i have several gay friends. i'm not accepting the sin, so to speak, but i accept the "sinner" because there's nothing that makes me better or worse than them. i'm not going to tell somebody "you're going to hell" for doing what they do.

Hmm, I thought that Jesus' teachings told us to love ALL people, and that Jesus had nothing bad to say about LGBT people.
[You know, the part of the bible that is the New Testament?]

But I guess I have love in my heart, and not bigotry and hatred.

    What do you have?

How anyone can preach such discrimination, and then call themselves a "christian" is beyond me, since such bigotry is completely against all that Jesus stood for.

People bend or mold religion in order to fit in or satisfy social needs. Some Christian organizations sponsor a lifestyle in which they present Jesus and his disciples as poor humble men who preached simple life, love and a decent way of living. Others, using the same Bible present Jesus and Christianity as way to achieve wealth and riches. One of those "Jesus wants you to prosper and become a rich man" ministers said the other day on TV that Jesus was a rich man who wore expensive clothes because once he was on the cross the Roman soldiers were gambling to see who was going to be the lucky one who won and kept them! The same thing applies to homosexuals and Christianity. There are lots of very decent, hard working, exemplary men and women who happen to be gay, but who also want to be Christians. So, they will find a way to make sure they fit and will find a place in the Christian society.

Because some churches now recognize that the Bible states many, many things that are no longer germaine to society, like allowing slavery, polygamy and death for minor crimes. You don't see churches stoning to death children for disrespecting their parents and you don't see some churches practicing bigotry again gay people for being who the universe created.

...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Apostasy. Just like the churches that are accepting women preachers, and wordly music, and new (per)versions of the Bible instead of the King James Bible, and also churches accepting abortion as a "minor concern". We are truly living in the end times.

Thank you and may God bless you. :)

Because the bible isnt 'clearly' against it. The bible was never very clear on anything. It seemed more focus on the act of perversion, then actual homosexuality, or love between the same gender. Keyword: Love.

Besides, change is good. Society must learn to accept change, if it is to thrieve. Reluctience to change, only brings chaos, and war. I believe these churches understand this, and believe Gods will is one of peace, and love. Not chaos, and war. That's Satan's area.

It's all a matter of interpretation. You interpret the Bible stating that homosexual relationships are wrong; other people do not.

Love the Sinner; NOT THE SIN...

    Romans 1

    God's Wrath Against Mankind

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Analogies compare two different things, in order to point out similarities.
Applying Analogical Reasoning to Bible questions allows us to draw principled conclusions based on the general trajectory of God’s truth revealed in scripture.

We will examine nine uses of Analogical Reasoning for accepting homosexual relationships.

The first four uses illustrate how the church adapts to the surrounding culture over time.

to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't spell out in the gospels that women cannot hold office in the church

but the real question (as far as I can see) is whether or not Paul's advice should be taken to heart today, or considered cultural like women covering their heads (see 1st Corinth.)

because they actually have a open(semi) mind, and realize that being a hating ignorant bigot is better than the old way. Also most of these denominations I found tend to only uphold the 10 commandments, and the bible is merely a fiction book
