Help answer this question below.

I have a 1996 chevy astro van that normally runs great.However when it is raining,snowing or damp outside it will not start. It will sound likes it going to but never kick over. After it sits 4 couple days, will start and run fine, Any help? Please!

    I have the same van and had the same problem. It is the distributer cap, which you will find in the dog house. Cheap and fairly easy fix. Good luck! you will be alot happier with that replaced....I was.

    I would suggest a good old fashioned tune up. Replace your cap, rotor, spark plugs and spark plug wires. All of these thing can add up to difficult starts. Damp weather makes it worse. I suggest spending the money on good spark plug wires and not getting the cheap ones. As a check, you can use a spray bottle to spray the wires with water at night and try to start. If there is a bad wire or wires you will see spark flashes where they are damaged.
