This coming from a woman who works all the time??!?
-
Of course poor men can get married and have kids. Maybe what she's saying is that it would be harder for the kids if both parents were working. Who would look after them? A nanny? A mother's touch is still different. It's just her opinion. And as it is, no one, not Dr. Laura, not Oprah, not Bush, can stop poor men from getting married and having kids.

"Dr." Laura is ususally wrong in what she say. I don't know why this time should be any different.
-
ummm who cares what she thinks........................
-
No.

Do you always listen to what everyone says? She's not the supreme ruler of the world...people can do whatever they want. She's just telling you what she thinks will work best.
-
That is contrary to the UN Declaration of Human Rights.
-
On one interview she was quoted as saying men should work, women should be homemakers, and that the men should also be educated or get an education before the woman. Then again she is a DOCTOR that WORKS!!!

It is as fair/unfair as any other survival of the fittest rules ... if all poor men obeyed this rule, then there would be fewer poor and society as a whole would be richer ... but of course, even poor men do marry and have children. Many families need a double income because the earnings of one are not enough. It is possible she is only referring to her belief that women (in general) could do a better job of taking care of the very young children, and not refering to income ... so, she may mean, that IF the couple can afford to, the mother should be the one to look after the children, rather than a child care worker while the mother assists the father by earning a double income.

Dr. Laura, and I use that term loosely, has a doctorate in Physiology not psychology or anything closely related. She is full of hot air. She uses her Doctorate to miss lead people into believing that she is qualified to give psychological advice, and I am amazed how many people hang on to her every word.

Is Dr. Laura Schlessinger your mistress? You gotta turn her crap show off.
-
She can say whatever the hell she wants, as long as no one attempts to shove her lifestyle choices on me.
-
Don't listen to her show. Dr. Laura is a fool!
-
My understanding is that she thinks one of the parents, not necessarily the mom, needs to stay home to raise the children. Doesn't matter if it's the husband or the wife. One of them can bring in the money, the other one raises the children. As to not depend on someone else (daycare, etc.) to raise the children.

Im a stay at home Mom and my husband works. I think its fine if Moms work from home and bring in money. That way the guys are stuck with everything. Its hard to work and take care of babies and the house work all in one day...but ya know...women can do more then people give us credit for LoL If you looking for work from home with benefits and everthing check out www.freedonfromhometeam.com.rachelle or email me rachelle@ameriplan.net talk to you all soon!

Or you don't get married until you have established a career, as it should be.
