There's a guy who used to live with my bro&we flirted a lot one nite out&he wanted to take me on a date but the next day we decided it wasn't a good idea coz of my bro.My bro's moved out&we're getting to be good mates - how can i tell if he's still keen?

So are you keen? Your question doesn't say whether you want him to be interested or if you don't want him to make a move now that your Bro has moved out? If it were you at the time that was reluctant to go on the date, and he was keen, I'm quite sure he still would be interested on going on a date. Beware though, as it could ruin your friendship, there again it could all blossom, hoping it's the latter, good luck ;-)

- i'm not sure- i think i am to some degree. I would prob go for it if he made a move but i'm just not sure if its a good idea just cause he can be a bit of a player.
  We both were reluctant for the date the next day but then i was the one who made it quite clear after that i just wanted to be friends.

- Perhaps you should decide on your true feelings first, before actually doing anything about it, as it could be a big mistake that you'll regret, and I don't suppose either of you wish to be messed around? ;-)

  we've both picked up in front of each other before so i don't know if that makes it obvious that it's not gonna happen
  
  and i also dated his friend for a few weeks but it was a mutual break up coz neither of us were that keen
