Daredevil's billy club is his signature weapon. It's a gadget that he supposedly designed and built himself (but that seems doubtful--between becoming a skilled attorney, learning to use his sensory powers, and training as a boxer, martial artist and acrobat, when did he have time to study engineering and forging? Seems more likely that he spent a pretty penny to have it constructed for him). Daredevil's billy club is a red steel baton about a foot long. He actually carries two (and has spares at home) in the holster on his thigh, and the two clubs can be connected to form nunchuks, or extended to form a quarterstaff. The club also can fire a grappling hook on the end of a cable from one end, which allows Daredevil to swing around the rooftops of New York, similar to the way Spider-Man gets around. Using his superhuman senses and radar sense, Daredevil can throw his billy-club with pinpoint accuracy. He can even bounce it off surfaces to ricochet into foes from unexpected angles. He's even been seen to balance on the club and slide down safety rails with it. Very handy item. Apparently his billy club also doubles as his cane when he is in his Matt Murdock identity, but for obvious reasons (as demonstrated in the movie), this is not a very good idea and can compromise that whole secret-identity thing.
