    No. They only know where their original "home" is. That's the place they return to. You could raise a homing pigeon in your backyard, take it a hundred miles in any direction, and it will return to your house. But it could never "find" anywhere else besides your house. Messages can only be sent in one direction, So you raise birds in both places. Then you swap them.

    Pigeons can only fly back to their coop, and usually need training to be able to do that. So when you see in a movie a pigeon flying to someone and then they attach a message and send him back home, doesn't work that way. It's fiction.As long as a pigeon doesn't have his or her family somewhere else and get attached or bonded to a new home, they will try to find their way to their coop.
