Help answer this question below.

2000 Ford Expedition. While pulling a boat, it started to leak transmission fluid (which we did not notice until...) while backing up to put the boat in the water, the car stalled, a burning smell occurred and tranny fluid spewed ou

    It could have been overfilled. Ck the fluid when trans is warmed up, parked on level ground, idling in park. The torque converter could have got very hot from towing and boiled it. I would service the trans and hope for good luck. If there is lots of debris in the pan, the trans probably will need an overhaul soon.
