A therapist or even asking us about certain things here can put you on the path of letting go , bringing your feelings to the surface , sometimes takes baby steps which is fine and you could talk your doctor about how you have been feeling and see if you can get some relief with them . --- + 5 good question

Iv'e been in your situation myself & I started listening to a self relaxtion tape, you do ideally need to have a room in quiet to your self so you can relax completely & let your mind concentrate on the tape, I highly reccomend you do this. Paul McKenna is the person who I listen to on tape, he is a very good hypnotist. Hope this helps.

This is a very excellent question. I used to be exactly like this. It's not a good way to be at all. I'm not really like that anymore. I've surrounded myself with people that are nice and I just relax... relax... relax. Walks help to get things off your mind, too. Listening to soothing music and soothing voices are great, as well as friends you can talk to. :) This might sound really dumb, but there is this restaurant that I go to sometimes that is very calm. I think it's calm because the walls are painted a very nice yellow and a very calming blue. The restaurant also has very relaxing music. It just allows you to feel very comfortable. I love it there. It's a wonderful atmosphere and the people inside it are very cheerful. Maybe you could try painting the room that you are in the most these colours if they aren't already.

When the bad movie in my head won't turn off I try to find a good memory and concentrate on all the details. From the point I first remember I rewind to see how far back I can go and then play the memory from that point until I can't remember any more. Another thi ng I will do is to turn my bedside radio on to the lowest volume on a easy listening station then I lie in bed and listen to the music. May you find peace.
