  • Never have. I do well with a bow (only ever target shot), and I understand the standoff angle in the water. I've caught fish with hook and line, and I've caught fish with my bare hands.
  • A few times. Very frustrating! I was lousy. I never could get the water refraction thing down. The others got disgusted that I was chasing all the fish away...
  • If it involves "bowing" little "kicking" brats (or fish fry), count me in. I'm the outdoors type and would love hunting brats. Ha. ----mrshinyshoes.
  • No. I've been snaggin' though.
  • No I have never been fishing.
  • Many times. Not really an answer but I do have a story about bow fishing. My buddy J.D. went and did a lot of outdoor activity, hunting, fishing, camping, and his wife complained a lot that he never invited her so he took her bow fishing on the lake. There was a rabbit on the bank so he decided to try to shoot it. As you know a bowfishing arrow is pointed with "barbs". He hit the rabbit but it did not die, he had to "reel it in" and it squealed all the way to the boat, at which time he broke its neck. His wife was crying and screaming hysterically the whole time. She was traumatized by the whole event and never asked to go with him into the great outdoors again.
  • No, not with a bow ... but I have "hunted" large fish in open water with diving mask, snorkel, flippers, & hand held spear ... and while in the military, on survival tests, I stood in streams with a sharp stick and just speared small fish as they swam by.
